On Sunday, her joy turned to grief when she learned from her hospital room that a fire had erupted at his grandmother's home in east Detroit and killed Hodge's 5-year-old son, Kavon Williams. "I can't even put it into words," Hodge, 37, of Warren said in a phone interview from her room at Sinai-Grace Hospital. "I'm telling you, Mother's Day will definitely never be the same."

Over the past week or so, many of have probably noticed a significant decrease in the volume of SPAM you have been receiving. Most notably, the amount of SPAM tagged with a "[MS-JUNK]" header on it. Over the course of a year, you have been sending us your recommendations as to which emails you think are junk, and which ones aren't. Our junk list has grown, and we now feel we have enough filter information to properly filter out the junk mail. Because of this, we have decided to begin rejecting junk messages again.
What does this mean for you? This means that you can get your emails faster, and no longer have to wade through the large amounts of SPAM messages that plagued you before. It also means that our servers no longer have to process and deliver the mail it thinks is SPAM, but instead can simply reject it and bounce it back to the sender.
What if I don't get my messages that are legitimate? There is always a chance that legitimate messages will get rejected because our server thinks it's SPAM. This is due to a number of reasons, including the way some SPAM messages are formatted, and the way your friends email was laid out. When we reject messages, however, your friend will get a bounceback messages with instructions on how they can get whitelisted.
When a person receives a bounceback message, they will probably see a message at the top which show something like the following:
From: MAILER-DAEMON@yahoo.com To: your_email@yahoo.com Subject: failure notice Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <user@glis.net>: 216.234.108.2 failed after I sent the message. Remote host said: 500 Mail appears to be unsolicited -- If not forward to mailstorm-mistakes@mailstorm.com
--- Below this line is a copy of the message.
This is a sample of a Yahoo! message that has bounced. If a message bounces from another website (such as Hotmail), you might see a slightly different message, but the message you receive from us should always be the same:
Remote host said: 500 Mail appears to be unsolicited -- If not forward to mailstorm-mistakes@mailstorm.com
If you or a friend saw this message in a bounceback email you've received, you should forward your message to us at mailstorm-mistakes@mailstorm.com. This will allow us to whitelist you or add you to our approved senders listing.
If you have any questions about the changes we have made, we ask that you first read the FAQ's at our MailStorm webpage. We have tried to answer as many questions for you there as possible. If you do not find the answer you are looking for there, you can also email our customer support at admin@glis.net or call our customer support at 1-888-445-4763. |
